Railway Recruitment Posts: Gazetted (Group 'A' and 'B') and Non-Gazetted (Group 'C' and 'D') in 19 RRBs:-
Group 'A' Posts –> Group A posts is carried out by UPSC - appointed through Civil Service Exam, Engineering Service Exam, and Combined Medical Service Examination.
Group 'B' Posts –> This posts are not open to directly. The Group B posts link Section Officers Grade - upgraded posts from Group 'C' railway employees on deputation basis.
Group 'C' Posts –> Technical and Non-Technical cadre posts like Clerk, Station Master, Ticket Collector, Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Engineering posts (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Signal & Telecommunication) etc.
Group 'D' Posts –> These posts in various disciplines include Trackman, Helper, Assistant Points Man, Safaiwala / Safaiwali, Gunman, Peon etc.
Recruitment against Quota: Sports Quota, Scouts & Guides Quota and Cultural Quota.
Educational Qualifications: Minimum 10th class pass or ITI or equivalent trade for Group C & D Posts. Graduate / Post Graduate for Group A & B Posts.
Selection Procedure: Written Examination. There is no Interview (Viva Voce) after the written examination. For a very few specific (Group A & B) categories there is a Viva after the written exam, while for certain other categories there is a Skill Test (like typing test or stenography test) and for categories related to operational safety like Assistant Station Master, Assistant Loco Pilot, there will be an Aptitude Test.

Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the concerned trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training.
Application Fee: A Non0refundable fee of ₹ 100/- for General and OBC Category candidates. The fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway by using debit card / credit card / Internet Banking / SBI Challan etc. No fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates.
Selection Process: The selection will be on the basis of percentage of marks in 10th Class (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done.

Stenographer -> Any Degree with 01 Year course in Office Management and Secretarial Practice/ equivalent. Shorthand Speed-80 wpm/ English, Typing Speed-40 wpm/ English, Desirable - proficiency in shorthand/ typing in Hindi.
Maintainer -> ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in required trade (Electrician / Fitter / Electronic Mechanic / Ref & AC Mechanic).
Selection process:
(1) For the post of Station Controller/ Train Operator (post code-NE01) and Customer Relations Assistant (post code-NE02) -> the selection methodology will comprise four-stage process:- Written Test (two papers), Psycho Test (qualifying) & Personal Interview followed by Medical examination in Aye-one category.
(2) For the post of Junior Engineers (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Civil), (post codes NE03, NE04, NE05, & NE06) -> the selection methodology will comprise three-stage process:- Written Test (two papers), Personal Interview followed by Medical examinations in Aye-one category not below Aye-three.
(3) For the post of Account Asstt, Office Asstt & Stenographer (post codes NE07, NE08 & NE09) -> the selection methodology will comprise two-stage process:- Written Test (two papers), followed by Medical examination in Cee-One category. There will be no interview for this category of post.

Application Fee (A Non-refundable fee): The candidates belonging to General (UR) and OBC category are required to pay ₹ 400/- (plus Bank Charges), for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category are required to pay ₹ 150/- (plus Bank Charges). The fee can be made through Prescribed Bank Challan. The Bank challan will be available to download after filling online application, The system generated Bank challan will be in triplicate (1st copy - Bank Copy, 2nd copy - Candidate's Copy and 3rd copy - NMRC's Copy). Candidates are required to take a print out of this system generated Bank Challan and deposit the requisite Written Examination Fee (for fee details see para "Payment of application fee") in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) after a minimum of 24 hrs of generation of the Bank Challan. Only, State Bank of India (SBI) has been authorized by DMRC to collect the application fee, in a specially opened DMRC Account No. 33700092265.
